Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Kids Tube iOS app ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. Kids Tube is a YouTube player for children in which a parent chooses every channel and video the child can watch. We built the App so that it does not collect personal information.

1. Summary

• No accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of our own.
• We do not collect, sell, or share personal information.
• No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs are included in the App.
• Your settings and library stay on your device.
• Videos, thumbnails, and search results come directly from YouTube (a Google service).

2. Information stored on your device

To work, the App saves the following data only on your device. It is never sent to us:

• The channels, videos, and playlists a parent approves or creates;
• The child's display name, if a parent enters one;
• The optional 4-digit parent PIN;
• Screen-time settings and today's watch time, bedtime and eye-break settings;
• Where each video was last paused, and the chosen app language.

You can delete all of this data at any time by deleting the App.

3. YouTube (Google)

The App uses YouTube to provide content:

• Videos are played with YouTube's official embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com).
• When a parent searches for videos or channels, or adds a channel, the App sends the search terms or links directly from the device to YouTube, with YouTube's Restricted Mode turned on.
• Video thumbnails and channel images are loaded from YouTube's servers.

When this happens, YouTube and Google may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and which videos are played, and may use cookies or similar technologies, as described in the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. We do not control and do not receive this information.

4. Children's privacy

Kids Tube is designed to be used by children under a parent's or guardian's supervision. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, and the App has no chat, comments, sharing, or public profiles. Areas that change content or settings are protected by a parent gate (a math question or a parent PIN). We intend to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

5. Data security

Data saved by the App is stored in the App's private storage and protected by iOS data protection. Because we do not operate servers, we do not hold copies of your data.

6. Your choices

• Parents can remove any channel or video, turn off the PIN, or reset screen time in the Parent Area.
• Deleting the App removes all data it has stored.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
